That story attempted to explore the whole question of "how do you reconcile two groups with conflicting interests?" but it didn't really work because the characters on both sides were one-dimensional and unsympathetic. This story is doing the same theme, but doing it much better I think.

But I will say, the "see! It was a trick! It's WAR NOW." on the part of the gangers felt out of left field.
(Also, I hope they manage to fit in a Life on Mars crossover reference in there next week. They sort of already did, with the way that Cleavers-H killed
