Thoughts:

1. It seems like a long time since I've watched a Doctor Who episode without having ridiculously huge expectations in connection to secrets being revealed and suchlike. I'm looking forward to sitting down to a Moffat-scripted episode and just being able to enjoy it for what it is, rather than for what it reveals.

2. Is that "take the finger off the button and we blow up" thing from "Lost"? Not that I care, because I didn't watch "Lost."

3. Smithereen should be used as a verb more often.

4. However, as a licence fee payer I do wonder how much that explosion cost.

During season two, they had to keep hitting this button down in the hatch every 108 minutes or else the world would end. Yeah, season two was pretty jacked up. Then again, this is the one show where random time traveling was the ONLY point when anything made SENSE to me.
