3. I saw. But I was still flummoxed as to why he did it. Personal theory: Typical manipulative Doctor making River do what he wanted.

3. You're probably right, but my reading of it was that River was saying "look, I know I have to kill you but first I want you to know that I'm really really into you and I don't want to" and the wedding was basically the Doctor acknowledging that so she could move on and do it.
