I had my issues with both series of Sherlock but there was enough cleverness and brilliance in the modernization, writing, acting, etc. to temper it. But, yeah, I have seen some vicious haters of Moffat's and I wonder, "Why do you watch the man's work if you hate him that much?" RTD had some flaws, too, but I don't see many people bring that up. (That's all I'm saying on RTD, do not want to start RTD vs. Moffat wank.)
